Prairie and Autumn in their dresses that were made for Lindsey's wedding

So we have been really really busy, like even busier than a normal Christmas season. I wanted to do all of these special activities with my girls for the holidays, but it just isn't going to happen this year. My sister got 2 weeks notice from her landlords that she had to be out of her apartment by Dec. 21 and she had finals until the 19th. So that was a nice and fun activity that came up suddenly and took a decent chunk of time to help her with. The good news is that we are all done with the moving and she lives closer to me now. She now lives on the same block just a street over.

We also had a wedding last week up in Idaho. I really don't have time to do a long blog entry with lots of pictures, but that is what we have been up too. It was Ben's little sister Lindsey, and now she is happily married. I made dresses for the girls for the wedding out of Lindsey's wedding colors. I was really pleased with the dresses.

I have been sewing up a storm for Christmas. I can't wait until after Christmas to blog about everything I have been sewing. Until then I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. I will be leaving for NY on Wednesday and then will be flying to Iowa for another wedding reception for Lindsey. So don't expect any entries soon.

The Bus

So yesterday was a very blah day and so I decided that I needed to do better today as a Mom. During the winter depending on what the road conditions are Ben sometimes takes the van to work instead of his scooter. Today was one of those days, so I told Autumn that we could ride on the bus to the mall. We have a bus stop less than a block away and it goes straight to the mall. We packed a lunch, grabbed the stroller and spent a $1.60 round trip and had such a great time. I forgot how much I love riding the bus, since I haven't ridden the bus since we moved to Provo and I don't go to school.

Both of the girls really enjoyed the bus. Autumn was actually really friendly and talked to the bus driver the whole time, and by chance we had the same bus driver on the way home. Prairie liked not being in a carseat, but seemed a little nervous so she held my hand the entire time, and every time the bus stopped, Prairie would start yelling "go, go".

So a really fun outing, we got out of the house, the girls got to play on the play equipment at the mall and I picked up a new pair of boots with a gift card I had from gap. What a great day.
